I have a "revision" of these, Yellow Jades, which is basically the same switch with more transparent housing (but not by a lot) to make the lighting more visible. Some say Yellow Jades also have a bit better factory lubing but I can't confirm that. These are good, very cheap, very silent and pretty smooth. Personally, I wish they had a sharper and shorter bump (I'm used to Durock Shrimps) because you don't get almost any post-travel before bottoming out since the bump is round and the travel is short, but they're still great silent switches.
I wonder how different these are from the Outemu Tactile Milk Tea switches. I just build a board with the milk teas and they are possibly the quietest switch I have ever used.
Got 110 of these for 20$. They are pretty good. I like them because i also like the Lenovo laptop keyboards tactility hehe. They are very silent too, enough to not bother anyone in your house. Also, i can confirm the factory lubing. But... the short travel (3.3,mm)feels strange. But not something that i care about tbh. There is minimal to no spring ping. Its like 1/3 or 1/4 of the batch has it. So YMMV.
@@ClickandThock btw, good switches, ordered 110 and got free sample of outemu lanny... now i feel like biung it as well, i'll wait for some sales on aliexpress
@@ClickandThock Can you review the ktt kang v3, and the greywood v3 and also gateron smoothie switches. I heard those are the budget linears that everyone recommends
To be honest these have been the first tactile silents I have tried but they don't feel all that different from a membrane keyboard in terms of feel to me. As well as both the sound and feel drastically changing after about a month of use, I do mean drastically. They're a fun sounding switch if you remove the bumprs and use them as regualr tactiles and they're a real good deal in terms of how much they cost per switch. Not sure if this is just how all silent tactiles feel as it was my first one like I said. What do you guys think after using them?
"Cream Yellow Pro" is just another name for Outemu Silent Yellow Jade switch which is basically the same as these but with more transparent housing to improve the lighting visibility.
I have to correct myself...I recently found out that Yellow Jade is 5g heavier than Cream Yellow, 50 vs. 45g. I doubt you would notice the difference in use, honestly...
I just found your videos, and they are so well done. Really impressed with your reviews! If you could, I'd love to see your opinion on the Gateron 0 degree silent switches.
Saw some of these floating around marketplace for a a good while now, so I had to get them to try. They're definitely a nice silent tactile, but it's just pretty annoying how Outemu keeps on making 3.3mm travel their new norm.
Gonna be paying more attention to these silent switches. Fear the day I'll have to switch to them for school/work purposes. Does the silencing affect tactility or?
They have standard rubber dampeners inside which don't affect tactility but affects the bottom-out. Like other silent switches with similar silencing tech, the bottom-out is mushier than on regular switches. There are silent switches with different silencing which doesn't include rubber dampeners, like Haimu/Epomaker/Wuque Studio/Skyloong Glacier silent switches which don't have a bottom-out that mushy, much like normal switches, but they have some other issues like louder top-out because the bottoming is silenced but the bounceback isn't...also, they're less smooth than Outemu silents.
Silent switches are great, but the only problem I have with them is the fact they're not completely silent. I guess that might be impossible to manufacture, but it sure would be a breakthrough in the silent category to see happen.

Totally!

How do these compare to the Akko penguins? Which would you prefer
Very similar... but I think I prefer these...

Are they better than Keebwerk Tacit V2 in your opinion? These are my favorite silent tactics
Have not tried these Keebwerk, so I could not tell sorry...
